This is the debut CD release from the North Carolina based band Smokin' Granny. Recorded live in The Bat Cave in Durham, NC, it brought together 6 innovative musicians in a creative collaboration that explored new sonic spaces combining elements of progressive rock, funk, jazz, and improvisational weirdness. Tracks were recorded in 1997 and 1998, with several of them released on the cassette "Live From the Bat Cave" before the CD release in 1999. This 2024 re-release presents the 25th anniversary of this breakthrough album. Feast your ears!
